The Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) will hold a fun run on Sunday 18 February. The 5km run will take place in Ubud, starting at the Ubud Football Field at 4pm. There will be food and drink stalls, massage and other entertainment, including prizes.
Registration is Rp 10k for kids, 20K for adults (local) and 30K for adults (ex-pat). All proceeds from the run will go to SOS’ orangutan conservation and community outreach & education projects. Only 7,500 Sumatran Orangutans still survive and it is likely they will be extinct in the wild within a decade, making the work of SOS of vital importance. Check out www.orangutans-sos.org.
