Posted under: Travel

Nusa Dua – Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a Gold Certificate for Safety and Security from the Bali Police Department.

This is the third consecutive award of its kind that Nikko Bali has won with a near perfect assessment score each time.

This comprehensive safety and security evaluation is enforced every two years for hotels, villas and resorts on the island by a division of the local police department that is specifically concerned with the welfare of international visitors. Each property underwent complex assessment on how effectively security and safety is applied in the areas of personnel, equipment, in-house facilities, software systems and staff training.

Approximately 50 reputable Bali hotels and resorts participated in the 2007 Bali Police Security and Safety Awards and Nikko Bali led the field by achieving the highest score of 98.97. Upon compiling all assessment scores it was announced that 25 hotels qualified for the gold award, 9 hotels qualified for the silver award category and 11 hotels qualified for the bronze award.

Awards were presented in an official ceremony on 23rd March 2007 hosted by Nikko Bali in the Graha Sawangan Ballroom. The ceremony was attended by senior members from within the police, government and tourism sectors including the Chairman of the Hotel & Restaurant Association, Vice Chairman of the Bali Police Department, Chairman of the Bali Tourism Board as well as Consulate officials and representatives from the 45 award winning hotels.

Upon receiving the top scoring award that recognized Nikko Bali Resort & Spa as the safest hotel in the gold category, General Manager, Mr. Theirry Joho, took to the stage for a brief speech. He thanked members of the resort’s Security Department for their consistent and committed efforts within the workplace. He went on to mention the owning company had generously provided the financial support to implement a CCTV system. This innovative system has significantly contributed to the overall security of the resort to give guests peace of mind for the duration of their stay.

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa has pledged to make a concentrated effort to maintain security levels and invest in the latest technology to support this cause. This award is dedicated to all resort staff members who are responsible for the resort’s success after being operational for 10 years.
