You who are spending the holidays in Bali within this two-week time are very fortunate. Throughout these two weeks, you can easily observe numerous feast days that are widely celebrated in Bali. Moreover, they range from grandiose to unique. For instance, on Saturday 14 April is Sarasvati Day that is specially celebrated as the genesis of learning. On the following day, Sunday (15/4), you can witness thousands of Hindu devotees in Bali bathing at the beach, river, lake or waterspout. On that day, they are performing self-purification, either in the manner of sekala (visible) or niskala (spiritual). That day is called Banyu Pinaruh.
